How to Make a Leaf Rubbing

This is a super easy yet truly fun and interesting project for kids of
all ages.
Modify the instructions below to make rubbings of coins too!

Suggested Materials:

* A variety of different shaped leaves
* 1 x sheet of white paper
* Crayons in a variety of colours

Suggested Instructions:

Step 1: Collect a variety of different shaped leaves. Leaves with distinct patterns and prominent veins make the most interesting rubbings.

Step 2: Position one leaf on a flat surface, vein side up. Cover the leaf with your sheet of white paper. Gently rub over your leaf with a crayon until the picture of your leaf magically appears.

Step 3: Repeat the process for each different leaf until you have a page full of leaf rubbings. Use different coloured crayons for each rubbing to make a more spectacular display.

Step 4: Take your leaf rubbings to school and show your class!
