Amazing Arrow Trick

This fun and easy magic trick uses materials you may already have around your home.
Remember, it's always a good idea to practice at home first!

Suggested Materials:

* 1 x round drinking glass (it must have straight sides)
* 1 x piece of standard office paper
* Felt-tip pen
* Water

Suggested Instructions:

Step 1: At home, take your piece of paper and fold it in half from top to bottom.

Step 2: Draw a small arrow approximately 3 to 4cm long in the middle of one side of your paper.

Step 3: Place your drinking glass on a table and stand your piece of paper behind it so that you can clearly see the arrow through the drinking glass. Show your "audience" which way the arrow is pointing by letting them have a look through the glass. They may need to file past, one-by-one, to do this.

Step 4: Now fill your drinking glass with water. Ask your "audience" to have a second look through your drinking glass. The arrow is pointing in the opposite direction. Incredible! (Note: try experimenting with both the size of your arrow and the distance between your drinking glass and your arrow to achieve the best results).

Step 5: Practice this trick at home before trying it at school.

Step 6: At school, repeat Step 3 to Step 5.
