Floating Can Trick

This fun magic trick will amaze and entertain classmates. It uses simple materials you may have around your home.
Remember, it's always a good idea to practice at home first!

Suggested Materials:

* 1 x standard size can of diet soft drink
* 1 x standard size can of regular soft drink (both cans must be exactly the same size and hold exactly the same amount)
* 1 x large clear plastic container (the taller the better)
Water

Suggested Instructions:

Step 1: At home, fill your large plastic container with water.

Step 2: Show your "audience" your 2 cans which are exactly the same size and which hold exactly the same amount of soft drink.

Step 3: Tell your "audience" that even though both cans are exactly the same you possess magical powers that can make one can float and the other can sink.

Step 4: Stare intently at your cans for a few seconds as you use your magical powers.

Step 5: Now carefully place your 2 cans into the water. Watch as the can of diet soft drink floats and the can of regular soft drink sinks straight to the bottom (due to dissolved sugar weighing it down). Amazing!

Step 6: At school, repeat Step 1 to Step 5.
